We strongly believe in and promote the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet that includes high consumption of olive oil, legumes, unrefined cereals, fruits, fish, moderate consumption of dairy and poultry products as well as moderate consumption of wine. Each plate we create reflects this basic principle. Our hearty salads and delicious appetizers are great to share. Our entrèes are hearty and well banalnced. Our highest priority is to select organic, natural and local products whenever it is possible. We believe that everyone has a right to goog, clean and fair food. On November 17, 2010, UNESCO recognized this diet pattern as an Intangible Cultural Heritage not only as a fundamental part of history but also as a great contribution to the world.
We seek out local producers who are passionate about offering the best products Mediterranean Region has to offer and respect our commitment to quality and tradition. Our artisanal cheeses come from Murray’s Cheese in NYC. Fresh sausages and salumi are provided by Salumeria Biellese that feature Old World Style Italian and Mediterranean products. Most of our meat products have Slow Food’s Snail of Approval seal.
Lallisse’s unparalleled wine list consists or organic, biodynamic and sustainable wines of the Mediterranean Lallisse’s wine list offers 100 types of wines – approximately 40 by the glass options. Lallisse’s unique selection features wines from France, Italy, Spain and the Fertile Crescent including Eastern and Western Turkey, Israel, Greece and Lebanon. After spending extensive hours of wine tasting and going through hundreds of bottles, we created a list consisting of artisan wines produced by old and historic estates of the Mediterranean run by small organic producers. We are proud to present organic, biodynamic and sustainable wines that are traditionally made without the interference of modern wine making.
